Columbus Police Officer Says Goodbye

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – One of Columbus’ finest public servants is leaving the department to serve her community in a different way. Criminal Investigator Natashea (Na-ta-shay) Coleman was honored today with a special luncheon given by the Columbus Police Department. Coleman is leaving to to become a School Resource Officer. Surrounded by fellow officers, police department employees, and a pre-Thanksgiving meal, Coleman said her goodbyes and thanked everyone for their support.
“It’s going to be totally different coming from law enforcement to going inside of the school so I’m looking forward to it. I know I can handle the job that’s coming,” says Coleman.
Coleman worked for the Columbus Police Department for 10 years.
