Columbus Police Looking for Armed Robbery Suspect
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) -Police are investigating an Armed Robbery in the Friendly City.
According to Columbus Police Chief Fred Shelton, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery of a business in the 1200 Block of Main Street around 7:00P.M. Friday night.
The suspect reportedly showed a handgun and took an unknown amount of money.
He is described as a short black man, wearing a dark toboggan, a red scarf on his neck and face, a dark jacket, dark shoes, and jeans.
An employee reported that the suspect left the scene on foot.
No one was injured.
Mississippi University for Women was placed on lockdown for almost an hour.
