Columbus Police Investigating Homicide

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Columbus Police are working a homicide according to their Twitter account.

The original Tweets said someone was shot, called 911 and died.

CPD believes the shooting happened on Florence Street and the victim, a black male, fled to Beech Street.

They say the scene is secure, but the shooter left the area.

Police say they are still unsure if the victim and shooter knew each other or what a motive may be.
