Columbus Police Investigating Attempted Robbery

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a hotel.

A spokesperson says a man armed with a gun went inside America’s Best Value Inn just before 6 PM on Saturday.

Officers say hotel employees locked themselves in a safe room.

The robber ran away without any loot. There were injuries reported.

Police are still investigating and have not made an arrest.
