Columbus Police Arrest one Looking for Second in Vehicle Theft

COLUMBUS, Miss. -On August 2nd at approximately 09:16 a.m., the owner of a vehicle reported stolen from Hwy 69 south on July 31st, reported seeing his stolen vehicle in the parking lot of B & S Salvage on Gardner Boulevard.  The driver of the stolen vehicle, Edward Jones, fled the scene on foot and has not been captured.  The passenger, Tiffany Short, was found to be in Possession of the Stolen Vehicle along with being in Possession of a Controlled Substance (ICE).

 

Columbus Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Edward Gene Jones in connection to the stolen vehicle and burglary of a commercial business.   Jones may be driving a stolen white 2008  Z-71 (Tag# LT5 574) which was stolen from a business on Redi-Mix Road on August 1st.
