Columbus Middle School See “Antigone”
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Students from Columbus Middle School’s drama classes got a special treat Friday (10/12).
63 students were invited to a private showing of Mississippi State University’s fall productions, “Antigone.”
Columbus Middle School students has been acting out the play in their own classes earlier this week. One student says her teacher thought it would be a great way for the students to see their characters come to life.
“Ms. Petty thought it would be an honor if we got to see someone perform what we performed at school ourselves and to see how they did our characters. I thought it was a very good experience like I said before you get to see how other people comprehend what your character is saying and everything,” says Annalia Avila.
After the play was over the students got to ask the cast of Antigone some questions such as how they prepared for their roles.
