Columbus man out on bond faces new charges in Oktibbeha Co.

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man already out on bond on assault and domestic violence lands in the Oktibbeha County Jail facing new domestic violence and kidnapping charges.
Ontario Nicholson was arrested Saturday at a gas station in Columbus.
Nicholson reportedly assaulted his former girlfriend at a home on Cox Loop in Starkville and then forced her to leave with him.
A family member called Lowndes County 911, and that’s when Columbus police became involved.
Nicholson was out on bond for a 2022 simple assault charge and a May 2023 residential burglary and simple domestic violence arrest involving the same victim.
He is now in the Oktibbeha County Jail. There is no word on if a bond had been or would be set.
