Columbus Man Faces Multiple Charges
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-A Columbus man faces a slew of charges after failing to obey.
34 year-old Larry Jones was arrested Saturday after attempting to flee Columbus Police.
Officers say they attempted to stop Jones for expired tags on his vehicle when he took off, running a red light.
Jones then allegedly hit a vehicle attempting to make a left turn onto Alabama Street.
The pursuit ensued for a bit longer, even though Jone’s vehicle hood was blocking his view, until he hit a pot hole and abandoned his car.
Police say Jones was attempting to crawl under a forklift parked in front of Taggart Auction.
Jones is charged with 10 different charges including: Reckless Driving, Failure to Obey, and Disobeying Traffic Control Device.
