Columbus man faces kidnapping charge

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A Columbus man is arrested after investigators say he was holding a woman against her will.

Charlie Owens, 35, is charged with Aggravated Domestic Violence and Kidnapping.

Early Sunday morning Lowndes County deputies were dispatched to Applewood Apartments on William Roberts Road, to a report of an assault happening in the parking lot.

When deputies got there, they say they found a 31 year old woman who was assaulted and held against her will.

Owens was identified as the suspect and taken into custody.
