Columbus Man Faces More Charges
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A Columbus man already in jail for burglaries in Lowndes County now faces new charges in Columbus.
Chase Fields was arrested on Sunday for 2 counts of burglary of a commercial building in the County. But when deputies arrested Fields, he was also found to be in possession of a credit card, checkbook, and gun taken from a dentist office in Columbus.
Fields is also accused of taking a vehicle from American Glass. That vehicle was equipped with GPS, and further investigation placed the vehicle at the Lowndes County Co-Op at the time that business was burglarized.
Fields is now charged in the city with 3 counts of burglary of a business, felony taking of a motor vehicle, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon..
