Columbus Man Charged With Kidnapping

Columbus, Mississippi (WCBI) – Lowndes County deputies say a Columbus man hit his girlfriend and then held her in a home overnight.

Timothy Lamont Leech, 42, is charged with kidnapping and domestic violence- aggravated assault.

Investigators say the victim had an injury to her face after the June 23rd incident.  Leech was arrested at a Columbus hospital last week.

As of Monday afternoon, Leech remained in the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center.
