Columbus Man Accused of Eluding and Possession of Cocaine
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)-$2,400 dollars dusted in cocaine flakes is seized by Lowndes County Deputies and Narcotic Agents today.
Authorities say they tried to stop 31 year-old Jeffrey Barker of Columbus on a traffic violation at Highway 45 and 373 when he fled in his white GMC Yukon.
Authorities say they caught up with him at a local store on Highway 373 and 50 but he fled again on foot.
Barker was finally apprehended at the Shell station on Highway 45 and 373 where they allegedly found the money coated in cocaine flakes on him.
He is charged with eluding and possession of Cocaine.
No bond has been set at this time.
