COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Firefighters had their work cut out for them after an early Thursday morning blaze on Columbus’ northside.
The call came into 911 around 5:18a.m. When firefighters arrived, the home located at 289 Byrnes Circle was fully involved. Fire officials don’t believe anyone was living at the residence at the time. Fire Engines 21, 22, 25 and 30 all responded.
Firefighters were on the scene for about five hours to completely extinguish the blaze including hot spots.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
