Columbus Honors Basketball Champions

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Downtown Columbus shut down Tuesday evening to honor the basketball champions in its own backyard.

The city holding a parade to honor the MUW women’s basketball team for winning the USCAA National Championship in its return to the women’s game.

The Heritage Academy Patriots were able to enjoy a parade for the second straight year, this time around celebrating a MAIS AAA state championships and the MAIS overall state title.
