Video: Columbus Homicide Victim Identified

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The man shot death in South Columbus on Monday night has been identified.

Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant says 23 year-old Charles C. Moody Jr. died after being shot.

Merchant is not releasing how many times Moody was struck.

Columbus police were called to the 500 block of 15th Avenue South on Monday night after shots were fired.

Investigators say Moody died at the scene.

No one has been arrested.

The shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
