COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A home has burned completely to the ground near the Columbus Riverwalk and Fire officials say it belongs to one of their own.
Anthony Colom with Columbus Fire and Rescue says the call came in about six o’clock Saturday evening. The home belonged to Captain Scott Swain who was on duty in Columbus at the time of the fire. The home is located in a remote area near the Columbus Riverwalk. It’s unknown if anyone else was at the home when the fire broke out. The case is still under investigation.
