Collision between pick-up truck and tanker truck sends three to hospital

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A collision between a pick-up and a tanker truck in Lowndes County sent three people to the hospital Monday.

It happened just after noon on Highway 69 near Concourse Road.

The Fair Propane truck driven by James Abels, 30, was going north on Highway 69 when he collided head-on with a southbound Chevrolet Silverado driven by Dorothy Faucette, 38.

Both drivers and a passenger in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.

The accident remains under investigation by highway patrol.
