Video: City of Verona Brings Community Back Together for Festival

[syndicaster id=’5908536′]VERONA, Miss. (WCBI) — A first ever festival took place on Saturday in downtown Verona.

Local residents from the area came out to enjoy family fun, food and entertainment.

Some of the entertainment included the Shannon High School Band, an Elvis impersontor and some dance groups.

Mayor of Verona Robert Trice says this festival is all about bringing the community back together.

“There were words out in the community that we were not together and I believe that we could be one city working together as one team and we’re just doing what we can to make sure that everybody feels like apart of the city,” said Mayor of Verona Robert Trice.

The event was free for the public to attend.
