Cindy’s remnants keeps things unsettled through Friday
REST OF TODAY: A TORNADO WATCH remains in effect until 10 p.m. for area along and south of a line from Grenada to Sulligent, AL. Passing showers may produce locally heavy rainfall, gusty breezes and an isolated, spin-up tornado.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Passing showers are possible with the tornado threat lowering. Lows will be in the mid 70s with southeasterly breezes continuing.
FRIDAY: More heavy rain will be possible on Friday as the remnant low of Cindy passes across the mid south. A few spin-up tornadoes cannot be ruled out. Highs should peak in the low 80s.
SATURDAY: Lingering showers and storms are possible with the rain chance lowering to 50%. Highs stay in the 80s.
SUNDAY: New information suggests a drying trend and just a small 20% chance of rain. Highs look to peak in the mid 80s.
NEXT WEEK: Mainly dry conditions are now expected Monday through Thursday. Look for highs in the 80s with lows in the lower 60s.
