Charges Filed In Fatal Oxford Crash

(OXFORD, Ms) (WCBI) — A Texas Man faces two counts of aggravated DUI in connection with an October wreck which killed two Ole Miss students.

21 year old John Howard Strickland of San Antonio Texas will appear in court Wednesday morning to face charges in the death of 30 year old John Wheat and his sister 23 year old Sarah Wheat.

They were both killed October 27th when a car driven by Strickland crossed the median on Highway 6 and struck their car head on. Oxford police say samples on blood drawn from Strickland after the accident provided enough evidence to charge the Texas man in the case.
