Celebrating 100 Years of Life

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – Many things have changed and aged in the past 100 years, and Juanita Hight was there to witness it.

She turned 100 years old today. She lives at Oak Tree Manor in Amory. Today staff and residents threw a birthday in her honor.

Hight attended Mississippi University for Women from 1930 to 1934, back when it was known as Mississippi State College for Women.

She says the W is very dear to her. “It’s just the best. I’ve loved the W for 70 years. The W is one of the best universities in the world,” Hight glows.

Hight has also given an endowment to the University.
