ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – Small town charm, laid back living, Southern hospitality are just a few of the things that are drawing a growing number of older adults who are calling Aberdeen home.

The local chapter of the Mississippi Hometown Retirement program held its annual fall luncheon Friday (10/19). It gave some old friends a chance to see each other again and for some new faces to join in. The organization pushes Aberdeen’s assets as a retirement community and in the last year, eight more families have retired to the area.
