Calhoun County Escapee Captured

CALHOUN COUNTY (WCBI) – Randall Willis is back behind bars tonight, December 11.

The 36 year old Calhoun County Inmate was taken back into custody Sunday afternoon.

Pollan says Willis walked off Friday during work detail for Calhoun County Solid Waste.

Sheriff Greg Pollan says a tip led deputies to Willis Sunday evening.

The person who called it in lives in the area where Willis was captured.

She saw him running on the edge of a field and deputies were able to get there in time to make the arrest.

Willis is charged with escaping and resisting arrest.

He faces an additional five years on his current sentence.
