Calhoun Academy One Point Shy of State Title

The Calhoun Academy Cougar Football Team has come a long way in recent years. They just could get all the way to a State Championship Title. The Cougars lost a tough game to Russell Christian in the MAIS 8-man State Championship game.

“Couldn’t be prouder” said acting Head Coach Tim Melton. “From a school that never does anything all the way to a State Championship game God has truly blessed us and he will continue to do so. It was a heck of a ride we just have to get back to work so we can get back here again” Melton added.

The Cougars fell by the final score of 29-28.
