Cadence Employee Charged with Embezzlement

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An Oktibbeha County bank employee stands accused of embezzlement.

Ashley Smith, of Columbus, worked at Cadence Bank in Starkville.

Investigators think she embezzled more than $30,000.

Smith was arrested Wednesday (7-24), and has already posted bond.

She faces up to 10 years in prison.
