BROOKSVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Brooksville residents may have to go elsewhere for their banking needs.

Cadence Bank is closing its branch on Main Street in Brooksville in late April. A statement from the bank says changing demographics and banking regulations is behind the closing.

Cadence says it is trying to help the branch’s two full-time and one part-time employee find other jobs.

City officials say they will try to get another bank to serve city residents. Cadence owns the 3,246-square-foot building where the branch is located.
