Burn ban issued for Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A burn ban is now in effect for Monroe County.

According to Monroe County Fire Coordinator Terry Tucker, the county will be under a burn ban until October 11.

The ban includes all outside burning except for grilling.

Burning while under the ban can lead to fines, plus any costs incurred by the county.
