Bruce Aldermen Award $1 Million Contract to Address Sewage System

BRUCE, Miss. (WCBI) — Bruce aldermen have awarded a $1 million contract for major upgrades to the city’s aging sewage system.

City leaders say the project is a down payment on what could be as much as $10 million in improvements needed to fully upgrade the system.

Aldermen began working on the issue more than three years ago when cracks in old pipes started allowing raw sewage to seep to the surface, posing health and safety hazards.
