British PM May to address nerve attack on Russian spy

British Prime Minister Theresa May is expected to address the poisoning of a former Russian double agent and his daughter in the English city of Salisbury. Speaking at parliament Monday, May is expected to point the blame directly at Moscow, according to one senior lawmaker. 

Sergei Skripal, the Russian who spied for Britain, and his 33-year old daughter Yulia remained in critical condition on Monday.

Tom Tugendhat, chairman of the British parliament’s foreign affairs committee, predicted that May would say Russia was responsible for the attack.

“Frankly I would be surprised if she did not point the finger at the Kremlin,” Tugendhat told BBC radio.

CBS News correspondent Charlie D’Agata reported that forensics and decontamination work was still underway Monday at an Italian restaurant in Salisbury where Skripal and his daughter visited before collapsing on a bench nearby.
