Update: Two Men Shot In Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – Two men were shot, one multiple times Tuesday afternoon inside a Columbus store.
First responders reported a man was shot in his neck, leg and arm. The photo (right) shows the victim speaking while first responders loaded him into an ambulance. Columbus Police Department Assistant Chief Fred Shelton says he’s in his late 20s.
He and another man are in a hospital Tuesday night after being shot inside the OK Foods convenience store, which is at the intersection of 7th Avenue North and 18th Street North.
A city spokesman says both men have non-life-threatening injuries and both of them were not employees.
Police haven’t arrested anyone but they’ve identified a car of a person of interest.
The shooting happened around 2:15 p.m. Police also recovered a handgun at the store.
The investigation is ongoing.
The OK Foods convenience store is a locally-owned small market and is not connected to the Fort Smith, Arkansas-based poultry products manufacturing company.
