Breaking update: Tupelo Police Investigating Potential Overdose

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Two people have died at a Tupelo motel after what investigators believe could have been a heroin overdose.

Coroner Carolyn Green confirmed to WCBI Saturday that two people died at the Days Inn on North Gloster: 33-year-old Stephanie Ellison, of the Tupelo area, and 35-year-old Richard Picotte, a South Dakota resident.

A city spokeswoman confirmed to WCBI that the Tupelo Police Department is investigating. They don’t suspect foul play.
