VIDEO: BREAKING-Storm Damage Reported In Amory – Heavy Hail in Oktibbeha County

OKTIBBEHA AND MONROE COUNTIES, MISS. ( WCBI) – A line of storms blew through areas of North Mississippi Thursday night.

In Oktibbeha County there were reports of golf-ball-sized hail, and accumulations up to an inch and a half.

Slick roads and heavy fog played havoc on the roads, and it’s likely that the weather was a factor in a wreck in Starkville.

On Lynn Lane, between Collegiate Heights and the Chevron gas station, a Jeep Cherokee ran off the road and into a ditch.

A tow truck was able to remove it. There were no immediate reports of any injuries.

A fast moving storm leaves a trail of damage across Amory.

Police Chief Ronnie Bowen says trees are down in different areas and at least two businesses suffered damage .  A Chevrolet dealership on 278 was hit and at least one downtown business is dealing with roof damage.  There are no reports of injuries.
