Video: Boy Remains In Critical Condition After Motorcycle Crash

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A boy was listed in critical condition at a Jackson hospital on Monday after a motorcycle wreck that killed his father this past weekend.

Kobe Bryant Strickland, 12, is being treated at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

The accident happened on Highway 12 on Saturday afternoon.

John Bryant, 41, was driving the motorcycle. Strickland was a passenger.

Bryant died shortly after the accident at Baptist Golden Triangle.

Columbus police say a car attempted to turn in front of the motorcycle and Bryant tried to avoid the car when the crash occurred.

Visitation for Bryant will be Wednesday from 3-6 P.M. at Lowndes Funeral Home. Services will begin at 6 P.M. Wednesday at the same location.
