Box Hearing Delayed

MATHISTON, Miss. (WCBI) – A court hearing for former Mathiston Town Marshal Shane Box is continued.

Box was arrested on five charges in June.

The Attorney General’s office says he’s charged with the embezzlement of five city-owned firearms while he was employed by the Mathiston.

Box is a previous assistant fire chief in the Webster County town.

He is free on a $75,000 bond.
