Border burglar busted in Lowndes County

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man faces charges of possession of stolen property in two states.

Lowndes County Sheriff Mike Arledge says his deputies along with Vernon, Alabama police served a warrant at a Tabernacle Road home looking for items stolen in Lamar County, Alabama.

The homeowner, 32-year-old Cory Mixon, was not at home but was arrested Friday on the Lamar County warrant as well as a Lowndes County charge of possession of stolen items and a resisting arrest charge.
