Video: Booneville Man Accused Of Trying To Start A Pot Farm
PRENTISS CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A Booneville man is arrested after local law enforcement receive information about some marijuana plants. Now he’s facing multiple felony charges.

On August 4th, Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office got a tip about marijuana being grown west of Booneville behind someone’s home.
Deputies, along with agents with Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and North Mississippi Narcotics officers, arrived at the home of 57-year-old James Roy Eaton and seized around 50 marijuana plants, some they believe to be over 6 feet tall.
The sheriff’s office estimates the street value of some of those plants to over $250,000 dollars.
The agents and officers also seized seven (7) rifles and shotguns and four (4) handguns, approximately $5,200 dollars in cash, and a John Deere lawnmower.
Eaton is charged with Manufacturing Marijuana.
He remains in the Prentiss County Jail.
