Booneville Man Accused Of Rape

PRENTISS CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A Booneville man is in jail after being accused of rape.

                             SHOOK

On Saturday, Prentiss County deputies were called to County Road 7450 in Baldwyn after receiving a disturbance call.

When Deputy Jeremy Pace arrived, he arrested 52-year-old David Shook on an active warrant with the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department.

Shook is accused of rape by a female victim, an assault that allegedly occurred Friday night.

Shook is charged with rape, simple assault, and petit larceny.

Judge Angela Pounds set Shook’s bond at $35,000 thousand with a no-contact condition on the felony rape charge, and $1,500 dollars on the misdemeanor charges.

The case remains under investigation.
