Booneville man accused of letting juveniles smoke controlled substance

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Booneville man faces a child abuse charge after Prentiss County investigators said he let juveniles smoke a controlled substance.

Benny Walthers, 28, was charged with two counts of child abuse.

Deputies were called to a home in the Hare Trailer Park August 22 after they got a report Walthers allegedly let juveniles smoke the substance.

His bond is set at $75,000.

The case will be presented to the next Prentiss County Grand Jury.
