Booneville High Speed Chase Ends In Crash, Arrest

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A minor traffic offense turns into a high speed chase in a matter of seconds.

Booneville Police arrested William Michael Stacey, 24, following a brief chase just after midnight yesterday.

The Booneville man was on Adams Street near 2nd Street when patrols attempted to stop him for a minor offense.

It’s then that police say Stacey sped off westbound toward the Blackland community.

Eventually he lost control, but luckily wasn’t injured.

Stacy is charged with one count of Felony Fleeing along with several misdemeanor charges.

Bond is set at $5,000.
