Jon Sokoloff took over as Sports Director at WCBI in October of 2020.
Jon grew up in Mount Laurel, New Jersey (a suburb of Philadelphia) and knew he wanted to work in the sports industry since he was a kid. His dad started taking him to 76ers games at a young age and he was hooked ever since. He graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Television-Radio.
Jon is coming to Columbus after working at FOX34 in Lubbock, Texas the past two and a half years. While working at FOX34 as a Sports Anchor/Reporter, he covered Texas Tech Athletics along with the great high school sports in that area. Jon covered Red Raider Basketball advancing to the Final Four in 2019, TTU Baseball advancing to the College World Series in 2018/2019 and was the road travel reporter for Texas Tech Football.
