Things have come full circle for Allie Martin and his family since they came to Northeast Mississippi in 1994. That year, Allie moved from his native Texas to work in WCBI’s Tupelo office. He eventually anchored the weekend news until he left in 1996 for a position at the American Family Association.
Now, he’s back manning the Tupelo office for WCBI. During his 25+ year career in broadcasting, Allie has reported on location nationally and internationally.
Allie attended the University of Texas at Arlington, and began his TV career while in college, working behind the scenes at KXAS TV in Fort Worth/Dallas. Allie has won numerous awards for his journalistic work, including an Associated Press award for investigative reporting. He is also a licensed real estate agent. Allie and his wife, Robin, have three daughters. Allie enjoys spending time with his family, working out, volunteering at his church and with various community groups.
