Bike rentals through smartphones coming to All-America City
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A new business in Tupelo allows customers to improve their health and take in the sights.
King City Cycles had its official launch. The bike rental company allows customers to rent bicycles from racks, using their smartphones.
An app called “Koloni” takes users through the simple process for renting the bike, unlocking it from the rack, and paying for it when it is returned.
Ethan Nolan is owner of King City Cycles and said bike rentals are big business in larger cities, and he believes Tupelo is a great fit for the business.
“I have a lot of like-minded friends in this town, we’re pretty tightly knit, we like to support local businesses, keep it local, and basically, we want to offer something that’s cool to people in Tupelo, we want to show we don’t have to have 100,000 people to do something like this,” said Nolan.
Bike racks for King City Cycles are at Fairpark, Front Street, Broadway and also at the Elvis Presley Birthplace and Museum.
