Big rig crash slows down traffic in Ackerman

ACKERMAN, Miss. (WCBI)- An 18-wheeler hauling sawdust creates an all day mess in Ackerman.

The crash happened just before 8:15 Tuesday morning at the intersection of Highway 12 and Business Highway 12.

Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department investigators believe the driver may have taken the turn a little too quickly and the load shifted.

Wreckers with cranes were brought in to clear the sawdust pile up.

Deputies cleared the crash scene about 3 Tuesday afternoon.

The driver had minor injuries.
