Video: BCC Meets New Vice Commander

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Members of the Base Community Council got to meet a new addition to the Columbus Air Force Base, Friday.

Col. Howard McArthur moved to Columbus in July to become the Air Force base’s newest Vice Commander.

On Friday, he spoke to BCC members about his experience, and the importance of community relations to the base and its mission.

“We produce pilots here, and then they go off and do fantastic, amazing things, and I’m just going to talk about some of those things they do, which couldn’t happen without Columbus and the community producing those pilots,” McArthur said.

The BCC will hold its next meeting in November.
