Basement fire injures one in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – One person was injured after a north Columbus house fire.

The blaze started in the basement of a home in the 1200 block of 7th Street North.

Investigators are still trying to determine how the fire started.

Firefighters said a woman at the home cut her arm shortly after noticing the fire.

No other injuries were reported.
