Video: Barnhill’s Shut Down in Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. – The buffett is closed.

A spokesperson for the Mississippi Department of Health says Barnhill’s Restaurant in Tupelo has been shut down following a scathing report from a food inspector.

That report cited numerous critical violations.

MDOH had received several complaints about the eatery.

So Monday (7-22), they conducted a surprise inspection.

Violations ranged from leaking pipes, to improper storage of food, to insect problems .

Spokesperson Liz Sharlot says that the Barnhill’s owner has contacted the Mississippi Department of Health and plans to shut down the restaurant permanently.
