Band of burglars arrest in Monroe County

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A family burglary ring is busted after deputies say they were caught in the act.

Lonnie Brown, 57, Christopher Brown, 45, Cody Brown, 28 and Jessica Coronna, 36, all face breaking and entering charges as well as Petit Larceny.

Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says the family of four was caught burglarizing a storage shed at a home in the Greenwood Springs Community.

Investigators say the homeowner called the sheriff’s office after spotting people in the shed. Deputies weren’t too far away and showed up just in time and arrested the alleged burglars.

Cantrell believes these four are behind other recent burglaries in the area.

They’re being held in the Monroe County Detention Center.
