Attempted Kidnapping Indictment

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A man is indicted in an alleged attempted kidnapping in Tupelo.

A Lee County grand jury returned the indictment against Leon Moore Sr.

He’s charged with attempted kidnapping in connection with the July 4th incident.

Moore is no longer in jail.

Witnesses and investigators tell WCBI the reported incident happened in the 900 block of Mitchell Street.

A silver Pontiac Grand Prix was allegedly used in the incident.

Investigators were given a description of the man driving the car.

The FBI also assisted Tupelo police in the case.

Moore’s case is scheduled to go to trial in February.
