Attempted Armed Robbery In Lowndes County This Afternoon

LOWNDES CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A woman is nearly robbed on her carport this afternoon in Lowndes County.

Sheriff’s investigators say it happened on Swedenburg Circle.

The victim tells investigators an African-American man in his late teens or early 20’s held her up at gunpoint.

Deputies say nothing was taken in the attempted armed robbery.
