Arrest Made in Lamar County Shooting Case
LAMAR COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) -The Lamar County Sheriff’s office has made an arrest in the shooting death of former Lowndes County resident.
District Attorney Chris McCool tells WCBI that 21 year old Jordan Posey has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the death of James Clifton Merchant.
Posey and Merchant had been involved in an argument, when Posey allegedly shot Merchant. Merchant later died at a Tupelo Hospital.
The two had been involved in a relationship, and had a child together.
Posey’s bond has been set at $30,000.00.
